Tilda with Flower Basket

Good Morning Everyone,

This is a card I made using the Friday Sketchers Challenge (Sketch #99). The first card I've made with a Half Fold Front. My base card is Aqua Bazzill with a layer of White Cardstock and the three pattern papers are by Kaiser "Utopia" Collection. The tag on the front of the card is also a die cut from this range topped with a button brad. The bling are from Wild Orchid and were a RAK from my friend Deb. I have also used my MS punch on the front of the card and purple gems.

The inside of the card features two panels for sentiments and writing highlighted with bows, a row of buttons and flowers which are also visible from the outside. The Buttons, Bows and Bling make this card eligible for this weeks Simon Says Stamp Challenge and the AQUA and Purple colour scheme qualify me for the Pink Elephant Colour Challenge to use aqua. I am also entering this card in the Copic Colour Challenge this week whilst my colours aren't the exact numbers request the overall colour scheme is the same. This is my second entry for this weeks Just Magnolia Challenge of Anything Goes and also Our Creative Corner - Blooming Blossoms.

Tilda is coloured with copics (Skin E50, E00 & E02, Hair E31, E35 & E37, Dress & Socks BG01, BG05 & BG0000, Basket E29 & W00, Shoes C1, C5 & C7, Flowers V95 & V15 and Leaves G21).

Tilda with Butterflies

Happy Tuesday Everyone,

This card was made using the Cute Card Thursday Challenge Sketch for this week. It has a Pale Blue Bazzill base with a fine layer of Silver Cardstock and the pattern papers are by Bella "Ever After" Joyfully and Fairy Tale. The Butterfly Ribbon and Pearls are also by Bella to match the paper.

I have punched the Silver cardstock on the centre panel with my MS Punch Doily Lace Punch, then stitched White Shimmer Cardstock and Pattern Paper onto the panel. I found the perfect colour Blue Flower in a card kit from Bizzy Becs (leaves from Bec too) and I've sprayed the smaller roses with Silver Glimmer Mist. IRL they are a pretty silver and have that lovely shimmer but unfortunately they photograph a dull grey.

Tilda is coloured with copics (E50, E00, E02, Y21, E31, E54, C00, C1, C3, B0000, B21, B91, B93, B95 & B97) and her Wings have been coloured with Stickles Diamonds. Finally the sentiment as per the sketch is a Rub On by Deja Views "Wonder Words". I'm also entering this card into the Bizzy Bec's Creatalicious Challenge #9 - Flowers and Wings, Simon Says Stamp - Things withWings Challenge and the Allsorts Challenge Picture Inspiration Challenge. I'm not very happy with how this turned out - just having a bad creative day I think!

Daisy in the Sugar Bowl

Good Morning Everyone,

Well as you can see I've been making the most of our long weekend! This is the first time I've entered the Sugar Bowl Challenge, when I saw the sketch posted I immediately thought of Daisy. My card is SU Groovy Guava and all panels have a layer of Cream Cardstock edged with Tim Holtz Old Papeer Distress Ink (Secret Crafter Challenge) and then a different pattern from the Kaiser "Tea at Elsie's" Range. This is really perfect as I intended to give this card to my MIL for her Birthday and she had an Aunty Elsie! I have added a little cream lace to one side of the sketch and pearls and flowers of course. The second part of the challenge apart from the sketch was to use punches so I've used my McGill punch for the leaves and a circle punch for the sentiment. My sentiment is on a die cut that came with the paper but was a little large so I've punched it smaller and added the hero arts sentiment and stickles (which looking back I think was a mistake!).

I've coloured Daisy with Copics (Hair E31, E53, Y21 Skin E50, E00 E02, Flowers R02, Shirt R0000 W00 Jeans B91 B93 B95 B97 and Leaves/Grass G21 YG63). I couldn't resist adding the pearls to the center of the flowers in her hair.

Thanks for looking,

Charmed Tilda

Happy Sunday Everyone,

I hope your all enjoying your weekend ~ an extra long one for us in Australia to celebrate ANZAC Day. This is my last card as Guest DT for Magnolia Down Under Challenge for April. A big thank you to Kellie for inviting me to participate ~ I've really enjoyed myself. Thanks to all the DT Ladies for their lovely comments too!

This week the challenge is to incorporate a charm on our card. This little gold heart charm as been in my goodie stash for quite a while, so I'm happy I've finally used it.

My Easel Card has an Aloe Vera Bazzill base followed by SU Pink Pirouette. The Green Floral print is by Melissa Frances "Faith" and the Pink Spot Paper is SU. All panels have been stitched on the sewing machine and the pretty flower ribbon was an indulgence from Spotlight ~ expensive but pretty!

Tilda has been coloured with copics (Hair E31, E33 & E37 - Skin E50, E00 & E02 - Clothing & Flowers G21, YG63, G94 G0000, R0000, R01, R11 & E04 - Shoes E57 & W00)

The remainder of the card is decorated with Flowers, Pearl and Gingham Ribbon. The sentiment is by Stamp It and is called "May your Day".

I have varied a little from the standard easel design using a smaller rectangular panel and nestabilities rather than a 6x6 panel.

I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:-

Just Magnolia - Anything Goes
Our Creative Corner - Blooming Blossoms
Pile It On - Spring
Your Next Stamp Challenges - Stitching Real or Faux
Clearly I Stamp - All Tied Up (Ribbon)
Stamp Something - Charmed Somethings

Just Magnolia Birthday

Good Morning All,

Happy Birthday Just Magnolia Challenge! This card was created using the Sketch provided by Just Magnolia this week to celebrate their Birthday! My friend Deb surprised me with Wrapped Tilda last week as she knew I really really wanted her. She had planned to give her to me for my Birthday but couldn't wait!
What a wonderful friend.

I have started with a White base card and added an Almost Amethyst layer followed by Melissa Francis "Sherelle" pattern paper sewn to the panel. I then repeated this step with a smaller panel. The ovals are CM cutting shapes and I have offset them and run the white oval through the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder before inking her edges and dots.

Tilda is coloured with Copics BV0000, BV02, C00, C1, E50, E00, E02, E31, E33 & E37. I also added a little sparkle to her bow and sock with stickles diamonds. The Thank You sentiment an optional extra challenge at Just Magnolia this week is from the SU Party Punch set and is cut out with the corresponding punch. I have used my Martha Stewart Doily Lace Trim Punch for the strip across the card and inked it with Almost Amethyst ink. I have coloured my flowers with a bit of Almost Amethyst and BV02 Copic. The leaves are punched with a McGill punch from True Thyme. Large pearl finish the card as per the sketch.

I am also going to enter this card in this week Colour Create Challenge of Lilac, White and Grey.

Welcome Tahnee Grace

Good Morning All,

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! This card is to welome little Tahnee Grace the brand new daughter of my husband's workmate Brett and his wife Natalie; also a little sister for their daughter Summer.

This beautiful image is by KLM Digistamps and has been coloured using Copic Markers.

The pattern papers I've used are from the SU Pink Pirouette Designer Paper Series howver I've chosen SU Blush Blossom Carstock as I find it a closer match to the pattern paper. I've used CM circle shape cutters to cut the image out and the background scalloped circle was created using a MS Corner Punch and you can see how to acheive this by checking out this tutorial by the very talented Claudia Rosa.

I have sewn all the panels of my card in either straight stitch or zigzag stitch. The bottom panel was cut out using a Nestabilities Label Die and the Congratulations sentiment is from the SU Warmest Regards set and has been embossed in Silver.

Lace, Ribbon, Pearls and all things girly finish off the card ~ along with this gorgeous little charm below that was a gift from my friend Deb whose help was invaluable making this card. She also pointed me in the right direction for the Digistamp and let me know about the doily tutorial!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:-

Cute Card Thursday - Touchy Feely
Charisma Cardz Challenge - Monochromatic
Stamp Something Challenge - Something Layered
Allsorts Challenge - In Stitches
Papertake Weekly - Cutie Pie
Simon Says Stamp - Let's go to the Movies

And for those of you thinking has she lost her marbles my movie is "The Hand That Rocks The Cradle" starring Rebecca De Mornay.

My apologies for excessive images with this post but I'm trying out my Husband new camera :-)

Swimming with Tilda

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend! My weekend started well as our papercraft group met yesterday at our local community house for scraping and cardmaking; we always have a nice relaxing time and sometimes we're even productive! Their reaction to my card was "Oh My Goodness - Sharon's made a card that doesn't have flowers!"

This is my Guest DT card for Magnolia Down Under Challenge. This week the theme is masking, so I thought I'd use Tilda in her swimsuit and then mask her and stamp the floating swimring over the top. She has been coloured in copics and after cutting and embossing with nestabilities I've used chalk to colour the background before removing the die.

The papers I've used are by Kaiser, the cardstock is Bazzill and I've used the sewing machine around all my panels. This net ribbon was purchased recently and isn't as dark IRL..more teal. The charm has been in my stash of goodies for years...finally used it! Pink and Aqua gems complete the card.

I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:-

Cupcake Craft Challenge - Childhood Memories
Mad for Markers - Use E00, R20 and BG15

Thanks for stopping by, I've been soooo busy lately I haven't made too many cards... hopefully that should change soon!

B & W Tilda

Good Morning Everyone,

This is my second card as Guest DT for Magnolia Down Under for April. I must admit when I saw this weeks challenge I was horrified! I have never coloured a Tilda in Black & White before! The challenge called older days and is to colour your image in B & W  (similiar to an old photo) then use coloured papers and accessories.

So here is my image - I've coloured her using Warm Grey Copics W00, W01, W03, W05 & W07. My only other attempt to colour a tilda using black was to try colouring an image with black hair - what a disaster that was! So I'm pleased with how she turned out. I have cut out the image and embossed with nestabilities rectangular die and used Tim Holtz Distress Ink to give my image that old B & W photo impression.

The papers I've used here are from Kaiser along with some Burgundy and Vanilla Cardstock. I have stitched my pattern paper to the cardstock on the sewing machine and placed a layer of lace and ribbon under the image before poping it up on foam. I've added the heart charm as I've tied the ribbon in a bow. The flowers in the top corner are from Bizzy Bec's and I've used a Carl Leaf Punch to punch some burgundy leaves and added a touch of stickles to them. I then added some tiny pearls to the corners to finish the card.

I'm also going to enter this card the these challenges:-

Stampin for the Weekend - Ribbon and Bows

Well this challenge certainly "challenged" me to get out of my comfort zone. I encourage you all to have a go too! I researched on You-Tube for some tips which were really helpful. I didn't keep the links but simply searched for Magnolia and B & W.

Magnolia Thank You

Good Morning Everyone

Happy Easter to you all... I hope the Easter Bunny has been kind to you!

This is my very first card as Guest DT for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge. The challenge this week was to create a Thank You card. Wasn't it nice of Kellie to chose something simple for my first week!

My card is made from SU cardstock and pattern papers using the Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, Sage Shadow  and Very Vanilla colours. Each layer has been sewn onto the card with straight stitch. My circle was cut out using Nestabilities Dies and then embossed with the Cuttlebug Hearts folder before inking.

Tilda has been coloured using copics and placed on foam dots over the lace and ribbon. Flowers, Pearls, a Heart Charm and all things Girly have been added from my stash of goodies. The sentiment is a partial SU tag stamp that I have just inked the letters on and cut out with SU Punches. I will also enter this card in the Magnolia Stamp Lovers Challenge which is to use purple.

We are currently away camping with friends for Easter so I'm hoping that this post has worked! Thank you to my parents who are house and dog sitting for us. Also a big thank you to Kellie for asking me to be a Guest DT member this month.

I hope you are all enjoying the Easter break with friends and family, thanks for visiting!
