Magnolia DownUnder - Summer

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Welcome to the next Magnolia DownUnder Challenge ~ this week the theme is Summer, very appropriate for us in Australia!

I've chosen this cute Sufer Tilda that I found in my stash of stamped images. Thanks to my friend Deb for that one! To me Summer always means time at the beach so this was perfect.

I've gone for pastel summer shades and used Magnolia Papers for my card. Tilda is colouring with copics in the same shades and I've used a lace doily, cotton lace, pearls and some new flowers. I would have loved to incorporate some real shells but as time wasn't on my side this week I've gone with these shell brads that I've had hidden away forever! I going to enter this card over at Charisma Cardz Challenge - One for the Girls, A Spoon Full of Sugar - Anything Goes and at CCEE Stampers - Use Lace too!

I must apologise for the lack of post recently ~ rather a busy time with end of school, Christmas and my Husband's quick visit to hospital! I promise to get around and visit soon :)

Thanks also to Cassie from Cassie Scraps for this lovely award I received but haven't added to my blog yet! Sorry Cassie ~ I really appreciate it receiving it :)

Now I know I'm supposed to pass this award on and mention 10 things about myself and promise to do so soon!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, I had a lovely day at Montville yesterday with Jules, Linda and Jenni. Thanks for your company ladies, I had a great day!

I hope your inspired to join in at Magnolia DownUnder this week but sure to drop over and check out the other creations by the talented DT ~ they are wonderful!

Good Morning All and Happy Sunday!

Happy Birthday Sue

Hi Everyone and Happy Birthday Sue! I had to make a special Birthday card for my friend Sue and decided to try a slider card, as I hadn't tried one before. My image is by La La Land and has been coloured with copics. The paper is Melissa Francis and the flowers are from Wild Orchid and have had stickles added for a touch of bling.
I will be entering my card at ABC Challenges - G is for Glitter unfortunately the glitter on the flowers doesn't show very well but it is there!

This picture shows how the slider works, the tab pulls up to reveal the image and the sentiment.

The sentiment on the inside is by Verses Rubber Stamps "Wish for You" has been stamped with Versamark and Embossed in Silver.

I had fun putting this card together and would try this pattern again. I'm also entering my card in the Paper Romance Challenge ~ Everything but the Kitchen Sink!

Irina at La-La Land Craft Blog also suggested I pop my card into their Customer Gallery - so I have entered my card over there too!

Colour Create - Fireworks

Hi Everyone,

Time for the the next Colour Create Challenge! This week the extremely talented Di chose Black, Cream, Gold and Mint Green for our colour scheme with the optional extra being Fireworks/Sparkles. Di was inspired by these gorgeous shoes!

Now I hope they inspire you to make a gorgeous creation! At the very least they may inspire you to go shopping! A girl can never have too many shoes after all! This week we are once again sponsored by Michelle's Scrapbooking - another fabulous place to shop.

I chose Magnolia's Tilda once again for this card - no surprise there! She is coloured with Copics and I've used the gold Spica Pen to colour the sparkles on and around her. I made the background paper with a small clear stamped (manufacturer unknown) that my friend Deb supplied for this card. (Thanks Deb!) My fireworks are stamped in versamark and embossed in gold. The greeen pattern paper is years old and made by K & Company. The word wish is a rubon. The green gems and velvet ribbon were from my stash and I have cheated a little and add some pink flowers.

I hope you are inspired to join us and drop by the Colour Create blog to see the other DT's amazing cards!

I'm also entering this card at:-

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Relish to Embellish

Shopping Tilda

Good Morning Everyone,

This was my second attempt at a step card. I've used shopping Tilda and coloured her with copics as well as paper piecing her shirt, handbag and necklace. I've also used spica pens for added sparkle on the beads and necklace.  The pattern papers are from Ech Park Paper Co. "A Walk in the Park".

I've used nestabilities to cut out the sentiment panel and the MS Butterfly Punch topped with pearls. It's a little hard to see but I've also added tiny pearls to the centre of the flowers in the front panel.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges:-

A Spoon Full of Sugar - Let's Get Punchy
Simon Says Stamp - Punch Em
Papertake Weekly - Sparkly and Bright
Stamp Something Challenge - Stamp Something with Pink
