Colour Create - Brown, Pink and Blue

Hi everyone, I hope you're ready for the next Colour Create Challenge! Our gorgeous DT Liz has come up with a combination of Brown, Pink and Blue for us this week with the optional extra being Cracked Glass or Acetate!

Here is the pic that Liz has chosen to inspire us with:-

I actually haven't used my Ultra Thick Embossing Powder for ages and ended up with it all over the Kitchen Bench and Floor! I decided to colour my Magnolia Image in warm greys before using the Cracked Glass Technique to give my image a Vintage Photo feel. As you can see it cracked a little too well!

The papers I've used are My Minds Eye - Stella Rose - I just love this collection. The pearls and lace are from my collection and the ribbon and flowers are from Wild Orchid. All my edges are inked with brown ink for a little extra aging.

I'm going to enter my card over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Emboss It and also in the Cupcake Craft Challenge for Lots of Layers - Not only do I have lots of paper layers but also lots of layers of embossing powder!

I hope you have wonderful Easter! We will be camping in the rain - even as this is posted while my brother and his family are staying in our warm dry house!! We must be mad!

Magnolia Down Under Easter Challenge

Good Morning Everyone,

I've scheduled this post as I'm spending the weekend in Brisbane doing the Copic Certification and Copic Project Class with the wonderfully talented Kathy Jones of Inspired to Stamp fame.  I'm hoping to pick up some tips and also learn a little more about my neglected airbrush system :(

This week at Magnolia Down Under we have an Easter Challenge for you. I've used my favourite Tilda from the latest release - I just knew I had to have this image as soon as I saw it! My friends gorgeous 6yr old daughter Tara has a Bunny that she carries everywhere, he is a very muched loved part of their family :)

As you can see I've masked Tilda with one of the new background stamps and coloured both with copics. The flowers are a combination of Wild Orchid and Magnolia and these papers are some of my favourites at the moment from Maja Designs. The diamonte flower and lace are from Creations in Paper.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges:-
Daring Card Makers - Spring Fling - Spring or Easter Inspired
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Easter Challenge

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll join us at Magnoila Down Under for our Easter Challenge! The DT have some gorgeous Easter Creations to inspire you with :)

Happy Easter Rylan

Good Morning Everyone,

WOW this is my last card for Bizzy Becs Creatalicious Challenge as Guest DT :(
Thanks to Bec and Cheryl for inviting me to spend six months as guest on the team - I've really enjoyed the challenges! This challenge we want to see your Easter cards but you must use Green, Blue, Pink and Yellow on your card!

This challenge we have been sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps and image I've chosen to use an image called BUNNEGG - Paint Egg. I thought this cute image would make a great card for a friends little Grandson Rylan for Easter. I've also opted to print four small digi images rather than one large image - which is really the beauty of using digi stamps - they are so versatile with sizing.

I've been inspired by the very talented Juls aka the Glitter Chick to leave some white space on my card. Juls often does so on her cards and they look great - so thanks for the inspiration Juls :)

I've gone for a clean and simple card with a large white border. The center of my card contains four small nestabilities scalloped sqaures coloured in the colour of the challenge and each has an bunny image (coloured with copics to match) mounted in foam on top. These are all mounted on a piece of white cardstock and then placed on a larger nestabilites scalloped shape. I've use a lot of foam tape in between my layers for extra dimension.

I did attempt to add a sentiment but it just didn't look right so I've decided not to use one.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:-
Cards for Men - Easter
Papertake Weekly - Truly Dimensional
Simon Says Stamp - Card for a Child

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out the wonderful creations by the rest of the DT over at Bizzy Becs Creatalicious Challenge and welcome the talented new DT Members. I hope I've inspired you to join in the challenge!

Happy Birthday Cameron

Good Morning Everyone,

This is the card I made for my middle son Cameron for his Birthday yesterday!  This image worked well for him as he is always on his skateboard! I've used the recipe over at Paper Romance Challenge - 4 x Embellishments (ribbon, pearls, button and skateboard), 3 x Papers, 2 x Punches (SU Large Star & SU Medium Star), 1 x Image and 1 x Senitment (SK8ER).

This weeks challenge over at Fussy and Fancy Friday is a Card for a Child and The ABC Challenge is R for Ribbon this week.

My papers are from the My Minds Eye - Stella Rose Collection (which I just love!). The image and sentiment are from Greeting Farm and coloured with copics. I've inked all my edges with black ink and roughly sewn some to give the card that teenage grunge look. The ribbon, pearls, button and skateboard are all from my stash! WOW I've finally used that skateboard I've had for years :)

This pic shows that I've layered my elements on foam for a little bit of extra depth.

Thanks for stopping by - Hope your having a wonderful weekend!

Colour Create - Baby Pink, Black and White

Hi Everyone and welcome to our next Colour Create Challenge! This week the colours chosen by our wonderful DT Julie are Baby Pink, Black and White with the optional extra being Tulle.

Here is the gorgeous inspiration picture chosen by Julie:-

Once again we are so happy to be sponsored this challenge by Michelle's Scrapbooking and More, home of the gorgeous Pixie Cottage Stamps.

I chose to use one of my new LOTV images as my niece is celebrating her 5th Birthday! I just love this image (coloured with copics) - it's been on my wish list for quite some time :)

The black and white polka dot paper is from Jillybean and I've combined it with Baby Pink Bazzill and Black and White Cardstock. The Pink Bazzill has been run through the cuttlebug to emboss a matching polka dot.
The number five was cut out using my Quickutz and has had stickles applied.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:-
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Tons of Texture
CES Challenge - Children

Be sure to stop by Colour Create and check out the fabulous creations by the rest of the team!
They are just gorgeous :)

Magnolia Down Under - Heavy Metal

Good Morning Everyone,

Sorry to be late getting my post up for Magnolia Down Under Challenge we had a very big night celebrating a our friend Kellie's 18th Birthday! This week the team would love to see some metal on your card!

I went in search of metal in my stash and came up with this very old metal frame and matching heart embellishment. I thought I'd try something a little out of the ordinary??? Not sure if I'm happy with the look or not but at least it was a chance to use some of my old stash of goodies :)

The paper is from My Minds Eye Stella Rose "Hattie" Collection. I've coloured Tilda with copics and the flowers are from Wild Orchid and Magnolia. The lace, pearls and ribbons are all from my stash.

I'd also like to enter my card at:-

Allsorts Challenge - Blooming Blossoms
Fussy and Fancy Challenge - Use a feather or Zipper

Thanks for stopping by - be sure to check out the wonderful creations by the rest of the DT at Magnolia Down Under!
