Colour Create Pastel Challenge

Welcome to another Colour Create Challenge! Our Challenge this fortnight is to use some beautiful pastel shades Lemon, Lilac and Mint - with the optional extra being a doily. This challenge was set by our extremely talented DT Dena who has chosen the most gorgeous picture to inspire you.

Isn't this the most devine Baby Nursery!

Our sponsor this week is Bunny Zoe who are currently having a Huge Summer Sale so make sure you stop by and check out the bargains!

Now IRL I was just soooo pleased with the card as these pastel colours look great together! However when it came time for me to photograph the card the colours aren't true to life at all!

My base card is a very soft mint and I've used this same colour for the petal nestabilities shape. The smaller square is lemon but in the pic they all look the same :(  and my Lilac looks greyish too! But enough complaining! I've dyed my white ribbon with Barely Banana Ink to be a pale lemon shade, added lemon pearls and the flowers are a mixture of Wild Orchid and Spotlight blooms. My sewing is actually in a pale green cotton too.

I'm going to enter my card in the following challenges
Stampin for the Weekend - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to visit the other members of the Colour Create team to check out their wonderful creations - they are amazing! I hope you'll join us for this challenge.

Happy 18th Birthday Jess

This is the gift set that I made for my friend Sharon's daughter Jess who has just turned 18. Gosh it just seems like yesterday that she was a little girl - time goes soooo fast. I've already given Jess her card and present so it's now safe to post. I really hope you enjoyed your Birthday Jess!

Jess's favourite colour is lime green so I've based the set around that colour.

This little box in a bag held a lime green and silver Pandora charm. (keeping with the theme!)

The base card is white with a layer of aqua and the lime green print is by Provo. My pattern paper is by Scenic Route "Lyndon" (I used the reverse side). The flowers are from Wild Orchid and all the other embellishments are from my stash. The "18" was cut out using the Cricut and stickles added to the numbers. I've added stickles to the spots on the Hippo and on the butterfly too.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:-

The Pink Elephant - Ribbon and Sparkles
Creative Card Crew - Sparkle and Shine

Colour Create Tilda with Book

Hi Everyone and welcome to another Colour Create Challenge!

This challenge the colours have been chosen by our teamie Julie and are Ivory, Duck Egg Blue and one other colour from this gorgeous inspirational picture below. (The optional extra is Shabby Chic.)

I just loved this picture and knew it would be perfect for my Tilda with Book image from Magnolia.  Our generous sponsor this week is Michelle from Michelle's Scrapbooking who has a lovely range of Magnolias in store.

I've chosen to colour Tilda in Copics and I've added some Dimensional Magic to her glasses for that realistic effect. I managed to get a reflection in the photo just like real glasses - pure luck!!!

I had this mixture of flowers in my stash and thought I'd try and replicate the bunch of flowers from the inspiration picture.

The Magnolia Book Stamp is placed on very thin foam dots and Tilda has been placed just in front of them on thicker foam dots.

I'm also entering this card in the following challenges:-
Papertake Weekly - Something Old (Magnolia Stamps), Something New (the Paper just purchased it), Something Borrowed (the Butterfly Punch) and Something Blue (Ribbon)
Stampin for the Weekend - Back to School

Thanks for dropping by and be sure and check out the gorgeous creations by the rest of the Colour Create Team.

Tilda Birthday Card

This card was made using the Bev's sketch from this weeks Just Magnolia Challenge. I have used foam dots to give the layers extra lift and IRL it is very 3D.
The papers I've used are Magnolia along with SU cardstock and I've made matching flowers in the same cardstock. (my first attempt).

Tilda has been coloured using copics and spica pens. I've used a clear spica pen on the trim of her dress and the ribbon is her hair and red and gold spica pens on the flowers.

This side view shows the 3D effect of the layers with foam pop dots in between.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:-

Craftalicious Challenges - Handmade Flowers
Just Magnolia Challenge - Sketch by Bev
Creative Card Crew - Lets get Cute and Girlie

Happy Birthday Rozie

Hi Everyone,

This is a card I made for my friend Roz who recently had a Birthday! Rozie is an works with Lingerie so I thought it would be the perfect image (Penny Black) for her :)   My pink and black pattern print is by 7 Gypsies and the embossed spotted paper I made myself using the Cuttlebug and then spraying with Smooch Spray.

I'm a little disappointed with the photos as my image has been cut out and placed on the embossed paper and the cups of the bra and pegs have been restamped and popped up on foam dots for a 3D effect that you can't really see :(

The image was coloured with copics and spica pens.

I will enter my card in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge - We are all going Dotty and also Bizzy Becs Creatalicious Challenge - Show some 3D.
